Film Atlas offers optional journey analytics to help improve movie discovery. It is off until you choose “Allow analytics”.

What optional journey analytics stores

When enabled, it stores a random browser-generated session identifier and the actions used to explore Film Atlas: completed title searches, selected search results, movie opens, trailer opens, favourite changes and share attempts. This lets the private owner dashboard group activity by an anonymous visit, without identifying a person. Events can include the movie ID, a title-like search term and the feature used.

What it does not store

The journey analytics database does not store your IP address, device fingerprint, user-agent, referrer, name, email address or account. Search terms that look like email addresses or long numeric identifiers are rejected.

Your choice

Your choice is remembered with a first-party consent cookie and local browser storage, so the prompt does not reappear after you choose. You can turn Journey analytics off at any time in Display settings. Turning it off removes the local session identifier from your browser and stops new journey events.

Retention

Journey events are automatically deleted after 90 days. Separate operational server logs may process limited technical information to protect the service and investigate abuse.
